The message has been delivered loud and clear: take nothing for granted. 

Who would have thought that former Senator Ted Kennedy's Senate seat would fall into the hands of a Republican? Last night, the citizens of Massachusetts elected a Republican U.S. Senator for the first time in almost 40 years! 

The Ohio Democratic Party will be hosting a State of the Union party on Wednesday, January 27th at the Mahoning County Democratic Party HQ. Beforehand, members of the ODP and Team Ryan will be discussing an additional element to our local strategy here in the Mahoning Valley: building a grassroots network and crafting public opinion using the newest campaign tools and the latest technology.  None of this can be done without local citizens getting involved... it cannot be done without YOU.  There is too much at stake for you to stand on the sidelines and watch.

Remember, if Massachusetts elected a Republican senator for the first time in 37 years, we cannot take anything for granted.  And you can directly help to win this fight.
